It promotes the body, mind and spirit and does so through inspiration, motivation and education. The elements of this holistic and unique center include: Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates, Swimming, Wellness Coaching, Massage Therapy & Outdoor Adventure. One of the studio’s most dynamic priorities is getting outside. Personal Training
By using functional tools, yoga, Pilates, swimming, the outdoors and individualized goal-oriented workouts, each client experiences improvement in their overall health and wellness and the overwhelming reward of reaching their goals one day at a time. Event-specific training and child-based physical fitness and education are available.
Yoga
Through (Vinyasa) Yoga Flow one engages the core, learns how to control breath, develops a skill in meditation, detoxifies the body and works in subtle areas of the body. A small list of benefits gained through the regular practice of yoga include equalizing the nervous system, decreasing depression, lowering blood pressure, improving joint mobility & flexibility, improving sleep, aiding in digestion, increasing immunity, mental alertness, helping to normalize weight & gaining strength in every part of the body. Yoga simply helps one feel energized, peaceful and happy.
Pilates Mat
Pilates, a form of exercise created by Joseph Pilates, was originally called Contrology, which explained the concept of a mind- body connection where the mind has control over the body. This program emphasizes core and postural muscles that help maintain proper alignment and support for the spine. Pilates incorporates mindful breathing techniques and an awareness of spinal alignment to deepen core muscles and to create length and strength for the total body.
Swimming
Swimming is a complete and total body workout. It is the ultimate cross training tool for people who want to increase their aerobic activity without putting excess stress on the joints. It is an ideal way to reduce inflammation, exercise the lungs and tone the entire body.
Nutrition
Nutrition is part of a well-balanced regimen. The Turning Leaf encourages individuals to gain as much information about their body as possible and in turn to realize their full potential. Education is key and the idea of arming clients with fuel for health, power and enjoyment are paramount. It is ideal nourishment that fosters our emotional, mental and physical wellness.
Massage Therapy
The Turning Leaf practices therapy in various forms and massage continues to be a highly effective form of release and relaxation. The Turning Leaf prepares individuals of all ages to take advantage of the world around them. If it is nature’s job to hold and grow the earth, this service is shared amongst us. TTL takes this role seriously and aims to practice safe, valuable and conscious activities regionally.
