
The Turning Leaf is owned by Harriott Parker, certified yoga instructor & avid outdoorswoman. An appreciation for a healthy, active lifestyle and the belief that optimal wellness in achieved by setting goals and doing what you love is what motivates her.
The Turning Leaf brings outdoor adventure to the client, offering an exciting approach to a healthy lifestyle for all ages. The benefits of fresh air, the environment and natural resources play a vital role in every facet of TTL. The elements of this holistic and unique business includes: Private & Group Yoga/Pilates Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Outdoor Adventure & Training & Outdoor Yoga. "I feel that every workout should be more of an adventure and less of a grind." Explains Harriott Parker "Our goal is to offer a different approach to wellness by making each workout and therapy interesting and fun, something that our clients look forward to. We provide experiences that inspire and motivate each individual to stick with!"

Nearly 14 years ago in between trail running, climbing, swimming and mountain biking, outdoor enthusiast Harriott Parker discovered yoga. Appreciating that the breathing exercises helped her to excel in these sports and alleviated life's stresses, Harriott was hooked. From a devotee to instructor, Harriott now finds herself owner of one of Charleston's most progressive community yoga studios & shares her passion and wealth of outdoor knowledge & adventure through The Turning Leaf.
As an environmentalist and outdoor educator, Harriott traveled the world all the while practicing yoga in an effort to draw a deeper connection to the places she visited. Having satisfied her wanderlust, she settled in her hometown of Charleston, SC and decided to dedicate her days to delving deeper into the study of yoga it's history and practice. Under the tutelage of master instructor Kelly-Jean Moore, Harriott transformed a hobby into a career and life path.
Beyond her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification, Harriott also serves as a outdoor educator, certified climbing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and kayak instructor, Wellness Coach and is accredited in Wilderness First Aid. Harriott resides in Charleston, SC with her husband Andy, son Julien and dog Echo.
